The Italian language division was established in 2002 within the language Department of the academy and in 2006 the division became an independent department when the language school was founded. And in 2007 the first batch was graduated. Since its establishment, the department has been taught and discussed by professors from Italy according to a cooperation agreement between Libya and Italy.
